RANSOMVILLE, N.Y. - KIPO Chevrolet and KIPO Suzuki of Ransomville and Lockport, the two dealerships that make up the KIPO Auto Group in the Buffalo, Niagara, Rochester area are beginning an entirely interactive social media campaign,. Keith Lucas, owner of KIPO Chevrolet in Ransomville, strongly believes this is great move for the dealership’s interactive marketing campaign.

“As a car dealer, I was hesitant to allocate social media to this extent of our marketing efforts, which probably was because, as a dealership, we were not as familiar with these media as we were with our traditional media outlets. But after speaking with Paul (Potratz Partners Advertising) about the ability to reach today’s consumers at a more personal level at a lower cost, KIPO was confident that social media marketing was the direction we needed to move in. After all, everything is starting to shift towards interactive, so I truely believe that the KIPO Auto Group needs to, and will embrace this new campaign”
Elements of the Western NY Dealer’s social media campaign will include a number of social networking sites that will increase KIPO’s brand awareness and reach customers at an entirely personal level. One of the social networking platforms that KIPO is already using is Facebook, where they currently have their own page and are building fans on a daily basis. Lucas has already seen some positive response from their new campaign and has already received questions regarding their website, staff, and most importantly, inquiries about vehicles. KIPO’s Facebook page allows them to post video, photos, events, and discussions about anything that is going on with the dealership. By pursuing this type of interaction, KIPO can analyze their brand reputation amongst the public, but also reach their specific target demographic, something that was extremely difficult to do accomplish with only traditional media.
Along with Facebook, the KIPO Auto Group has implemented Twitter and is quickly accumulating followers. By “tweeting,” KIPO will be able to engage in constant communication with hundreds and potentially, thousands of prospective customers. Along with positive comments, Lucas is already excited about the new direction of the dealership.
“These networking capabilities are helping us attempt to reach our demographic in a way we never have before. KIPO needs to continue to expand and use social media, because when we fully embrace it, I believe it will really hit the ground running”
