Social Promotion for Northeast Acura
Continuing their Social Networking growth, Northeast Acura of Latham, NY unveiled a special Valentine’s Day promotion to help grow their fans of Facebook and followers on Twitter. Potratz tagged a video to help promote the giveaway, which was done entirely through the Social Media Networks. The giveaway, which was a random drawing for a Facebook fan and a Twitter follower for dinner gift cards at a local high-end wine bar (Vin Santo) took place a few days before Valentine’s Day 2010.
The benefit? Since the promotion was entirely interactive, it was promoted via Social Media Releases which are optimized for the search engines. These Social Media Releases populated through Google, Yahoo, Bing, and more. It helped provide Northeast Acura with some awareness on the event. However, the event was primarily driven to add fans to their Facebook page. The promotion added nearly 100 fans in a two week span, and helped Northeast Acura connect with those people in a social, non-sales environment.
By being able to connect with new people, Northeast Acura is now able to promote their brand and build relationships with their dealership on an entirely new platform. This promotion is just another way that Northeast Acura is starting to develop their presence among the Social Media networks.
