Julie Powers
Julie grew up in the automotive industry, working in dealerships since she was 14 years old. She has worked in the sales, service, parts and accounting departments in some capacity— giving her a unique insight to marketing automotive dealerships.
Julie attended Plattsburgh State University where she graduated with a degree in Public Relations and Organizational Communications. After college she began working in a public relations firm in Albany where she wrote press releases, planned events, and worked to increase the visibility of local profit and nonprofit clients.
However, her ambition was to combine her education with the industry she grew up around: the automotive industry. Julie rejoined the automotive industry in 2007 and began working for a large dealer group where she worked her way into the in-house marketing department. Spearheading the social marketing initiative for the 15-store group, Julie also wrote web content, created the monthly inter-company newsletter and assisted the Director of E-Commerce in the launch of the BDC.
As Social Marketing Director at Potratz, Julie loves utilizing communications and marketing though social media outlets to help dealerships and dealer groups of all sizes further their online presence.
When not at Potratz creating new and innovative social marketing strategies for clients, Julie enjoys visiting her family in Western New York and spending time reading and being outside.
